Hyderabadi Haleem Quick Version-II






 Today am posting Second Version Of  Hyderabadi style Haleem in a Quick, Simple and Easy version for Beginners and  for Haleem Lovers  With Quaker Oats (Quick Cooking)
Here is Link with the Authentic Hyderabadi Haleem Style made of cracked wheat grain,meat ,Lentils and spices. Hope You will enjoy it :)

Ingredients

3 Cups Quaker Oats
1/2 kg beef or lamb ( bone/boneless) 
2 onions  (for garnish)
1 cup oil 
1 tbsp red chilli powder 
1 tsp turmeric 
2 tbsp ginger and garlic paste 
1 tbsp Garam Masala 
1 ½  cup yoghurt
2 tbsp Ghee
Salt to taste 
3-4 Black Pepper corn
1-2 Cinnamon Stick
3-4 Cloves
2-3 cardamom

Seasoning & Garnish 

Fry Onions fresh coriander leaves  and Mint Leaves (Finely chopped). 
3-4 Green chilli (finely chopped)
 Roasted Almond and Cashew nuts (optional)
Sliced lemon

Method:

Clean and wash the Beef/Lamb meat (Bone/Boneless), ginger and garlic paste,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,cinnamon stick,cloves,cardamom & gram Masala  mix well,pressure cook the mixture for 3/4 whistles without adding too much of water,until the meat is tender.

Then again Add little water,lemon,green chilli and yoghurt mix it well and pressure cook the mixture for 3 whistles.Let it cool down  the tender meat shed it with your fingers/Folk keep aside.

Meanwhile,
In a large saucepan at medium heat,add 2 cups of oil.
Add Onions and fry to golden brown,take out as these are used for garnishing.

Then, In a large heavy based pan, at medium heat,  add  water bring to boil and add  Quaker oats , ginger and garlic paste,turmeric powder,salt, 2-3 green chilli, black pepper corn and and little water if need .Bring to the boil and cook  until very tender and mushy.Pour the meat paste and mix it very well and stir for 30 minutes at a low heat.

Serve garnished with , ghee,green chilli  coriander,mint leaves, roasted almond, cashew nuts,fried onions and sliced lemon.

did u used quick oats or other one? I used to make this with dalia and soya granules. never tried with oats.

Haleem using oats? Wow! Kidos...... I've had haleem when my friend hydrebad prepared it for me. i just loved the dish. Should try this version...

Yeah :) it's very easy to prepare and my kids loves its, I make it twice a week and my husband and my kids loves it, as Oats are very dietary fibre and excellent source of protein.

I usually cook Authentic Haleem
(cracked wheat grain,meat ,Lentils and spices)in the Dawath (Party) :)

I have used Quaker Quick Oats, it's very easy to prepare and tastes like Haleem it will very smooth and bit different.

hey ... !the recipie is gr8 ... my brother loves haleem , especially oats haleem but i prefer using powdered oats .. so i grind the oats first n thn boil it .. it turns out to b vry delicious and it cooks much faster... ur recipie really helped !! thank u :)
